In case you haven't heard about EntreCard, then let me explain you what this is and how it works..and most of all, how this can bring some new visitors to your blog ( for FREE! ). Yes, you've read that right: free advertising for your blog. I know you like freebies ( so do I and most of the people you will ask ). I was visiting some blogs yesterday - JohnChow.com, EtienneTeo.com, JohnCow.com - and I saw that all this blogs were displaying a 125x125 widget, from the above mentioned website: EntreCard. As a result of using the EntreCard widget yesterday, my traffic increased with about 20 visitors more than my usual flow of traffic ( which is 50 ). So, I received a total of 70 visitors, which is pretty close to the target I want to reach: 100 visitors/day. Now let me tell you a bit more about this interesting advertising method and how you too can start bringing some visitors to your blog..

First of all, you have to go to EntreCard.com and sign up for a free account. When you're on the sign up page, insert all the data needed to create your account, such as user name, password, email, blog description, blog category, URL, and a 125x125 banner. If you don't have such a banner, you can select some standard ones, offered by EntreCard ( also for free ). When you're done, complete the sign up process, by clicking on the "Sign up" button at the end of the registration form. Once the account is active and you've placed the widget on your blog, you can start earning some points. This points are used as a "currency" for paying for advertising your blog on other blogs. The more you have, the more days you'll be able to advertise on a certain blog.

How do you obtain this points? It's simple: every time you drop your EntreCard card on another blog, via the widget, you get 1 point; every time someone else is dropping you their card on your blog, you get 1 point, plus you can receive points when another blogger is advertising his blog on yours. There are a lot of categories where you can list your blog, in the EntreCard listings: from art, to fashion, or from internet marketing to making money online. Just select the right one for your blog and start exchanging cards with other fellow bloggers. You have the ability to accept and reject the advertiser. So, if you don't want that a certain blog to appear in your widget, you simply reject it. You can have as many as 9 advertiser accepted to show up in the widget. Once the spots are full, anyone else interested in appearing in your EntreCard widget, will have to wait until one of the advertisers ends its campaign.

The EntreCard widget loads very fast and it is not slowing down your blog's load time. Also, it's not taking up too much space in your blog's sidebar, so you can rest assured that it won't alter the look of your blog in anyway.
